Nulgath

Nulgath

Nulgath is a character in AdventureQuest Worlds.

Description[]

Abyss General (Fiend of the Underworld)...

History[]

Nulgath is a demon who is the leader of the Nulgath Nation.

In his early life, Nulgath was a human who was fleeing from the Grand Inquisitor's forces. After fending them off, Nulgath entered a portal into the Fiend Realm where he met Adimonde: God of Fiends who was surprised that Nulgath became one of a few people to survive entering the Fiend Realm. Nulgath is persuaded by Adimonde to become his warrior to consume other worlds since Adimonde is bound to the Fiend Realm. He takes the offer while planning to one day beat Adimonde. As he starts to become demonic, he fights the Bloodfiends, Dreadfiends, and the Fiend Champion to prove his might and keep his Fiend Shard safe

Through the ages, the archfiend Nulgath has taken on many forms and has been known by many names with one of those names being Miltonius. Recently however, it was revealed that each of his previous forms were merely larval stages of the diabolic evolution into a more demonic form. Now Nulgath serves no master and has his own lust for power and hunger for the souls he captures through his contracts with one of his "clients" being Dage the Evil.

To make Dage the Evil a worthy member of the Nulgath Nation at the time when he was known as Dage the Lich, he assigned his top lieutenant called The Commandant to train him. One day, Dage the Evil went against Nulgath and killed The Commandant while taking his soul for his own use. This caused Nulgath to assume his current form and vow to make Dage the Evil pay for this.

Nulgath led an attack on the Undead Legion outpost. After the Undead Legends decimated the Bloodfiends, Nulgath took them out and quoted that if Dage the Evil wants a war, he'll get a war.

After reality is restored from the alternate timeline caused by Drakath, Nulgath and Dage the Evil catch up to the group as Gravelyn tells them, Sally, and Noxus that the Shadowscythe Army will hunt down Drakath and make him pay for what he did to Sepulchre.

Dage the Evil later goes to war with Nulgath. Nulgath is served by Klunk, Dilligaf, his chief torturer Dilligas, and Revontheus the Dark Angel. Nulgath's army consists of Skeletal Warriors, Skull Warriors, Undead Infantries, Infernalfiend of Nulgath, Dreadfiend of Nulgath, Dark Makais, and Bloodfiends. Dage the Evil managed to secure the Oblivion Gate and traps Nulgath in the OverSoul dimension. Nulgath claims that Dage the Evil unknowingly left him a gift as he begins his next plot.

When the players end up in the afterlife after being killed by Drakath, Nulgath appears before them and agrees to get them out of the afterlife in exchange that they take out Death upon signing a piece of paper. Nulgath states that failure to take out Death means they get transferred to the Abyss. The players were successful at doing Nulgath's assignment.

Nulgath contacts his commander Dirtlicker stating that the dimensional plans of Lore and the OverSoul dimension is almost in re-alignment and instructs him to establish a portal for his return to Lore as a way to permanently link the two dimensional planes. To ensure that Dirtlicker doesn't end up like the last person who failed him, Nulgath has Dirtlicker enlist the players for help.

When Dage the Evil turned him down and Underfiend fell in battle, Malgor cut a deal with Nulgath to retake the Underworld with an army of Shadow Makai, Shadow Voids, and Shadowblades. Nulgath then corrupted the Soul Forge with Malgor's shadows. With help from Frozen Pyromancer, the players obtained the Underflame from the Underflame Guardian to relight the Soul Forge. Nulgath then attacked the players as Shadowflame Nulgath. When the players defeat Shadowflame Nulgath enough to regress him back to Nulgath, he saw that Malgor plans to bring about his peace by also destroying the Underworld and the Void. This causes Dage the Evil and Nulgath to put aside their differences for now in order to deal with Malgor's forces.

It turned out that the Nulgath that Malgor manipulated was one of Nulgath's clone as the real Nulgath is still in the OverSoul dimension. Dirtlicker is given some of Nulgath's soldiers and is told not to waste them or else. With help from an OverSoul Spirit from the OverSoul dimension, the players learn Nulgath's history and head to where one of Nulgath's Fiend Shards is. They fight their way passed Paladin Fiends, Rogue Fiends, Void Knights, and even Dirtlicker and the Fiend Shard that Nulgath gave him in order to get to Nulgath's Fiend Shard. Once that was done, the players take their leave before Nulgath finds out. In his latest discussion with Adimonde, Nulgath is told that he hasn't reached his vow yet. Nulgath states to Adimonde that he has other Fiend Shards across Lore and the OverSoul Dimension and becomes impressed that the players managed to take down one of his Fiend Shards and might find a use for them. He then states that it's time he returns to Lore as Adimonde states that he should continue consuming.

Mirror Realm[]

In the Mirror Realm, Nulgath is an archangel who was sucked into an alternate reality while trying to seal the rift. Since then, Dage the Good has been the undisputed champion of all things good and noble in the Mirror Realm.

AdventureQuest Worlds: Zombies[]
