Kolyaban is a character in AdventureQuest Worlds.
History[]
Kolyaban is a three-armed Darkblood who is the oldest daughter of the Queen of Monsters and regarded by the Darkblood as the Darkblood Goddess. As the First Darkblood, she helped to create the Darkblood race. As Kolyaban is ageless and immortal, the Darkblood that she befriended all died during her life among them. Saddened at the loss of the Darkblood that she had befriended, Kolyaban retreated back to her mother.
Sometime later following the death of her brother Extriki, Kolyaban appeared where he arrival had sparked a Darkblood pilgrimage led by Eremon. The players and Aria met with the Darkblood pilgrimage where they had encounters with Extrikiti, Ravenous Parasites, Spiderwings, and Urstrix. When Aria's pet wolf Lucky goes missing, the players, Aria, and Eremon find Lucky in a reshapen state. After the players defeat Lucky, a mist falls upon the area causing Aria and Lucky to go missing.
Tracing Aria to the Twisted Caverns, the players and Eremon work to find Aria as Kolyaban speaks to the players through the Infesting Swarm which Eremon couldn't hear. As the players and Eremon fight their way past the Extrikiti, Fungal Lords, Infesting Swarm, Seed Stalkers, Spiderwings, Urstrix, and even cut down a Wall of Vines. The players and Eremon find Aria in a hybrid state called Twisted Aria who demonstrates the gifts that Kolyaban gave her by creating a Lore Golem. When the Lore Golem is defeated, the players and Eremon go their separate ways for their own goals for Kolyaban.
While working with Madra and Cleric Joy into finding a cure for Twisted Aria in the Broken Woods, they also experiment to see if the Spiderwings and the Urstrix can be cured. When the players and Madra encounter Eremon's group, he unleashes Kolyaban's latest creation called Hive which is a fusion of three unidentified Darkblood. When the players defeat Hive, Kolyaban shows up in person where she tries to get Madra on her side. When Madra turned Kolyaban down, Eremon told Madra not to interfere or else there will be war.
When it came to the Darkblood Civil War, those who sided with Eremon defect to Madra's side as they help her and the players fight an army of Acolytes of the First, Poisonous Darkblood, and Tentacled Darkblood. When the players defeat Twisted Aria and use Cleric Joy's formula on her, Twisted Aria is freed from Kolyaban's control as she tells them that Kolyaban is up ahead. The players managed to fight Kolyaban and defeat her. Before Twisted Aria can take revenge on Kolyaban by controlling the rocks to strike her, Eremon takes the blow and dies which provides the distraction for Kolyaban to get away. Madra vows to make Kolyaban pay for what she did to the Darkblood. Upon being contacted by the Queen of Monsters, Kolyaban apologizes to her mother for her failure and agrees to return to the tower where the Queen of Monsters will break her, rebuild her, and make her better.
At the time when the players were helping the Heroes of Balance, the ancestors of Discordia and Krellenos were captured and brought to the Queen of Monsters where they took the place of the ancestors of Kimberly Freeman and Khasaanda. After being told by the Queen of Monsters that the players have slain their siblings Extriki, Grou'luu, and Sa-Laatan, Kolyaban turns Discordia's ancestor into a Hive while Horothotep devoured Krellenos' ancestor. Following the death of Horothotep, Kolyaban started working on a ritual in Darkovia. After the players defeated Kolyaban's army of Hives and Nax Beasts as well as disrupting her rutual, the players slew Kolyaban and claimed the Darkness Orb.
