King Alden Alteon was the ruler of Swordhaven and the leader of the forces of Good. Once a peasent, he was knighted as "Sir Alteon" and fought a war against the former ruler of the lands, the tyrant King Slugwrath. He was Chaorrupted into the Twelfth Lord of Chaos in the middle of his eldest daughter's wedding, and brought his Chaos Beast into the world before being slain.
History
From Rags to Royalty
Once a peasant, the man that would become king of Swordhaven was knighted as "Sir Alteon". The lands were ruled by a corrupt tyrant known as King Slugwrath, and the people were unhappy with their ruler. Alteon planned to raise an army to fight Slugwrath and overthrow the tyrant. And after many years of war, Alteon managed at last to defeat Slugwrath, and the citizens of Lore decided they wanted Alteon as their new king. Alteon was happy as a normal peasant, but the people wanted HIM and HIM alone as their king, so he accepted and was crowned king.

Before he was king, he was
Later, during the Xan war he led the 299 elite guards into Xan's hot gates and lost. He was then lost in the field of combat, where the hero of DragonFable saved him. He then entitled the hero to the 301st elite guard. But that hero betrayed him, Calling himself ImpureDeath.
The Chaos War
Drakath, the son of Slugwrath, was unhappy at Alteon for stealing the throne from his father. At first Drakath was just a bandit that wasn't much of a threat, but then he went into hiding and was later transformed and granted Chaos Powers, making him the Champion of Chaos and the leader of the thirteen Lords of Chaos. During a climactic battle between the forces of Good and Evil in the city of Swordhaven, Drakath interrupted the duel between Alteon and the Doom Knight Sepulchure, killing the DoomKnight and badly wounding the king. After Drakath's attack, Alteon formed a truce with Sepulchure's daughter Gravelyn to combat Drakath and the 13 Lords of Chaos.

However, Alteon was Chaorrupted from the very beginning, although he had been fighting it with all the strength he had for a very long time. But on the most important day in his eldest daughter's life, when she gets married to Lord Brentan, King Alteon becomes fully Chaorrupted. He picks Brentan up and almost killed him, but the hero intervened and saved him. Alteon then revealed that his Chaos Beast was the dragon statue in the Swordhaven Castle courtyard, which according to Lady Celestia, is the most fearsome Chaos creature that was ever seen yet and that the dragon must be defeated, or Swordhaven will fall.
Alteon succumbed to the Chaos and tried to kill Brentan only for the hero to interfere. As he prepared to attack the heroes, Princess Brittany threw herself in front of the attack, taking the full brunt of it and instantly dying, her body falling onto Brentan's arms. As the Chaos Dragon is released, Alteon tries to fight the Chaorruption and stated that he had to get far away to keep himself from harming anyone else. When the Chaos Dragon was slain, the roof collapsed as the hero find themselves in front of Alteon, who doesn't attack. Alteon tried to withstand the Chaos powers as he stated that he is unaware what will come out of the Chaos Gate. With less than an hour left before he fully falls to Chaos, Alteon escaped into Swordhaven as the hero fought through the Chaos Invaders to get to him. Upon confronting and defeating him, the hero and Alteon see Swordhaven in ruins, and Alteon asks the hero to do a request for him: Kill him.
Whether the hero tried to spare him or complied, Alteon was killed that day, thanking his friend and making them promise him to turn to Gravelyn, as he believed her light will save them all.
Following the deaths of King Alteon and Princess Brittany, his second daughter, Princess Victoria is sworn in as the new ruler of Swordhaven while Lord Brentan becomes the acting King of Swordhaven as they work to rebuild it.
Summary
King Alteon is the current king of Swordhaven. When he was younger, he defeated the tyrant that ruled the land before him, and after that was made king by the people. He wields the powerful Golden Dragon Blade. Even though he is still a mighty warrior, age is catching up to him and he is no longer as strong as he once was. He was mortally wounded by Drakath, who interrupted the battle between him and the Doom Knight Sepulchure, who was once his strongest knight.
Mirror Realm

In the Mirror Realm, King Alteon is an insane tyrant who plans to conquer all of Lore. He already captured Gravelyn the Good and the Thirteen Lords of Order.
AdventureQuest Worlds: Zombies
In the alternate timeline created by Drakath, King Alteon was seen dueling Sepulchure when the players arrive to warn both sides about Drakath. When Drakath doesn't show up, Sepulchure tries to attack them only for King Alteon to take the hit and die. When Death arrives to claim King Alteon's soul and states that he will come after Sepulchure's soul as well, Sepulchure ends up vanquishing Death which causes those who have recently died to return as Zombies that obey Sepulchure's every command. King Alteon returns as Zombie King Alteon as he, Noxus, Dage the Evil, and Nulgath bow before Sepulchure. The players end up fighting Zombie King Alteon when Sepulchure invades Battleon. The players managed to defeat Zombie King Alteon.
Abilities
He is immensly capable in combat as his speed alone, when seen at the beginning of a cut scene was impresive. He mainly uses melee combat, but he has powerful magical abilities, for defense he can create a shield around him strong enough to block Sepulchure doom blasts, and he can blast bolt of lightning through his sword he can blast it from far range he and Sepulchure are seemingly equally matched.
