Jalnar the Deceiver is a monster in AdventureQuest Worlds.
History[]
Jalnar the Deceiver is a Frost Giant who somehow got twisted and developed shapeshifting abilities in order to kidnap children and feed off their energies during the non-winter seasons. He has appeared to different children in the form of either a giant snowman, a puppy looking to make a companion, or Jingles the Happy Elf. His latest captures are Chilly and Moknak.
With help from Ice Master Yeti and Blizzy, the players disguise themselves as children in order to draw out Jalnar. They encounter Jalnar in the form of a giant snowman who takes him to his cave. Though Jalnar leaves upon unleashing Arctusk on them. Afterwards, the players and Blizzy traverse the cave fighting Chillwolves, Frost Togs, Ice Elementals, Ice Spitters, and Winter Shrooms in order to free the captives. Upon the players defeating him in the form of Jingles, Jalnar sheds his disguise to fight them in round two. The players are able to defeat Jalnar and reunite the children with their parents.
